In 1991 Kieran Lyne was born in Ipswich, England, and spent most of his childhood dossing about in the countryside. In 2009 he attended the Royal Norhtern Music College, before going onto the University of East Anglia and graduating with a First in History. Having always been an avid reader, it was not until the second year of University that Kieran discovered the joys of fictional writing. He began writing short stories for pleasure, before coming up with the idea that would be the basis of his debut novel "The Last Confession of Sherlock Holmes." Lyne took the decision to write the story instead of studying for a Masters degree, and has since become the youngest writer to recieve the Arthur Conan Doyle Estate seal, as well as being published in India. He has since drafted a set of Sherlock Holmes short stories another Holmes novel, and is currently in the process of writing the first draft for his first ever non-Holmes novel.
