Charles Agyinasare

Charles Agyinasare is a Ghanaian Christian leader, international speaker and prolific author of books on Christianity. He is best known for founding Perez Chapel International, one of the largest Pentecostal-Charismatic ministries in Ghana, and for his influence in global Christian evangelism.

His books, such as Good Manners and Etiquette for Everyday Use (1998), have been widely acclaimed, and some have been incorporated into the Ghanaian school curriculum. He has also been awarded the Member of the Order of the Volta (MV) for services to religious leadership in Ghana.

Charles Yewuraekow Agyinasare was born in Achiase in the Eastern Region of Ghana and grew up in Accra. He attended Weija Barracks Primary School, the Armed Forces Experimental School and St Martin's Secondary School.

However, his youth was turbulent, marked by expulsion from St Martin's for what he describes as "a life of smoking, truancy, chasing girls and hard drugs". His search for spiritual meaning led him through various practices, including Buddhism and Islam, before he finally found Christianity. He joined the Church of Pentecost in 1980 after a life-changing conversion at 18.

Agyinasare was ordained a missionary by Brother Enoch Agbodzo in 1984, and two years later, he studied crusade planning with Benson Idahosa in Nigeria. This period marked a turning point in his ministry and led him to found the World Miracle Church International, later renamed Perez Chapel International. By 2015, the Perez Dome, the church's headquarters, had become the largest auditorium in Ghana, seating 14,000 people.

Agyinasare has written over 50 books, many of which have been translated into several languages. His works cover a range of Christian teachings and practical advice for everyday life. His most notable book, Good Manners and Etiquette for Everyday Use (1998), is a widely adopted school textbook in Ghana, praised for its practical application.

"I wrote this book to inculcate the values that we often take for granted in our daily interactions," Agyinasare has said.

In recognition of his impact, Charles Agyinasare has received several awards, including the Global Leadership Award from Regent University in 2015.
