“Hello, we need to get you out of here urgently and treat your malaria and gastroenteritis. Old lovers don't die on my watch.”
Having narrowly escaped death the last time he visited Africa, Christian de Villiers is hoping this trip will be slightly less action packed, although he is heading to Rwanda – right next to the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Christian is not only here to help, he is longing to learn more about his deceased father. Leaving his life behind, Christian travels to the village where his father once worked as a doctor, hoping to find some answers. What he finds there is friendship, but there is also danger, disease and deceit. Christian becomes embroiled in the doings of the violent Congolese warlords, but when ex-lover Isabella becomes involved, the race is on to keep each other alive. He goes in search of answers, but will he like what he finds?
