Schmidt examines the reception of Nietzsche’s Will to Power by major 20th century authors (including Kafka, Mann, and Musil) and engages in a source-based critique of Nietzsche’s ideas. Considering Nietzsche’s work in its historical context, its ideological and politically prejudicial distortions become evident.
