Aurora Leigh is a novel in nine books written in the form of epic poems. The poem is written in blank verse. The first book tells about Aurora's childhood and youth, while the rest drive her into a complicated love triangle. She develops love-hate relations with a cousin who is to inherit her family estate and who wants to marry a poor girl Marian, rather out of pity, than love. As the plot evolves, Aurora, Romney, and Marion become victims of different schemes, wrongful accusations, and lies until they finally learn to help each other and realize their true feelings.
