The title itself reflects on where we are and the difficulties that we, as mortals, have in this world of ours. It also reflects on the author's personal recollections in his life and in the lives of others. Whereas, some poems will pertain to his own life, other poems to the lives of others, including several that were requested by friends for their own use and purpose.
“Religion has always played a large part in my life, and it will be cast about here and there throughout my poetry.”
