Thomas Hughes was a prominent English writer during the Victorian era. Hughes' most famous work is the semi-autobiographical novel Tom Brown's School Days which is set at the Rugby School which Hughes attended. Hughes also wrote the popular sequel Tom Brown at Oxford.
