I know many of the reviews about this book have been negative but I disagree. There were definitely parts, especially in the middle chapters, that upset me greatly in regards to how Emma was treated by Prince Nikolas, however I really liked how everything turned out in the end. Perhaps Nikolas didn’t have to treat Emma as poorly as he did for most of the book, however I think it really gives insight to how dehumanized he was during his torturing in Russia. I loved Jacob’s character and seeing him become comfortable and open up. All in all, I ended up loving this book more than the first Stokehurst book, Midnight Angel, which was also really a delight.
A truly magic book, loved it.
