Mary can't remember when she first knew she wanted to cook, but, at an early age, she begin clipping recipes from books or magazines. Her hope chest had more recipes in it than anything else.. She helped in the kitchen very little, as her mother wasn't to happy having anyone in the kitchen in her way, When, Mary was married, she like to experiment with recipes. If her husband liked what she cooked, she would keep the recipe, but if he didn't care for it, she would change it with a mite here or a smidgen there. As her children grew, Mary really learned to cook. Making her own recipes, testing them on the children. Her Mother made the remark, Mary cooks better the I ever cook. Ladies would ask Mary for her recipe and, of course, she wouldn't give it to them. At the age of 78, she has decided to share her recipes.
