As The Crow Flies

One of the greatest things literature does is allow us to imagine; to identify with situations and people who live in completely different circumstances, in countries all over the world

you want to love
Do so
To the ends of the earth
With no shortcuts
Do so
As the crow flies.

I must leave behind denials and errors. I will think of him with great lassitude. I will no longer know his whereabouts, or what has become of him. I will no longer know whether the memory has faded or whether his pain still persists.
I wanted to believe in fairy tales, believe I could journey on the back of a camel and spend my afternoons sipping tea.
Now, I have to start all over again.
