Mine To Honor

“Get another kid who calls you Mama,” Levi urges, and all I can do is put my head down in the middle of his chest and silently cry.

“You want a baby with me?” I finally ask him when they come back into the room.

“Didn’t you two just get married?” Stefano yells. “How are you pregnant already?”

“We aren’t,” Levi denies, “but one day.” He kisses my lips. “Sooner than later, yeah?” I don’t answer him because his arms pull me closer to him as he bends to kiss my lips. The word “okay” is swallowed by his mouth.

“This last month, the last couple of months have gone from one of the worst times in my life to the best times of my life, thanks to you and Cici.” I can’t keep from kissing her, so I do softly.

“Thank you for asking me to marry you,” I say, smiling.

“Thank you for saying yes,” she replies as I walk her backward into the bedroom

“Okay.” I look up at him, knowing he’s going to kiss me again, and I’m not wrong.

He’s about to let me go when a car door opening makes us both look over. Caine gets out of his car and opens the back door to his daughter. “Good morning.” He looks over at us and holds up his hand.

Levi doesn’t let me go, instead he pulls me toward him and puts his arm over my shoulders. “Morning, Caine.”
