After a dinner at Sir Ambrose Bercy's, everyone, including the host, are poisoned; but Sylvia Keene, the young protégé of the old millionaire, dies. The strange thing is that everyone has consumed the same food poisoned by mistake with a dangerous herb. Was it a coincidence or a crime?
