Helen is part time lab assistant to her uncle, who is a scientist. One day he leaves for several days on a business trip. Helen and her younger cousin sneak into the lab. Helen is fascinated by an experimental dream machine that her uncle is working on. She and her younger cousin tinker with the machine and are whisked away into a strange dream world. Helen discovers that she has latent magic powers that were awakened upon her entry into the dream world. She hopes that her new found powers will help her find a way back to her home world, but a very powerful evil wizard is intent on keeping her and her cousin from leaving.
