Anticonventional thinking (ACT) is a way of thinking in which you purposefully reject the conventional in favour of the unconventional in order to be more creative.

However, the artist's approach to creative collaboration breaks just about all the rules of brainstorming.

Over the years, I have collaborated with exceptionally creative people, and in doing so, have experienced marvellous peaks of creativity.

Here, I have an advantage. I am an artist by training and an author by trade.

Then I looked at how artists, writers and other professionally creative people collaborate on projects.

Creativity consultants by the truckload swear by it and swear at me for daring to suggest that their beloved thinking method is anything less than perfect.
