The Midnight Pact

Together, they journey to the Obsidian Spire, a forgotten temple where the god’s influence festers, turning the very stones against them.  The Dragon Council, a formidable body of riders bound by tradition, hunts them relentlessly, viewing whispers of rebellion as a threat. Aric's secret lineage makes him a pawn in a deadly game for control of the remaining dragon power.  Within the Spire, ancient murals reveal a time before the Pact, when dragons roamed free. Aric learns of the Whisperwind Ritual, a dangerous ceremony that could sever the Pact, but at a terrible cost.
As Nightshade fades, Aric faces an agonizing choice: watch his dragon wither, or gamble on a ritual that could destroy them both.
