Being an empath is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, most of us like having such deep emotions. We can feel a sunset clear through to our soul and love more deeply than any “normal” person could imagine. We also tend to have intuitive knowledge about people and places that can be truly helpful—if we listen! On the other hand, we usually absorb far too much energy from those around us and can easily feel overwhelmed, to say the least.
With sensitive souls, our brains are hardwired differently. When people ask me what it feels like to be an empath, I can only explain it as being “wide open all the time”.
In this book, I want to show you that you're unique—not crazy or neurotic—and that with practice you can feel far less overwhelmed. In my practice, I've seen clients who spent years as overwhelmed introverts come to understand and work with their empathy. In doing so, they've become stronger, calmer, more outgoing, and far happier. I want this for you too!
