P.R. Black is a Scottish journalist and fiction writer. He is the author of the bestsellers, The Family (2019), The Beach House (2020), and other mystery thrillers.
P.R. Black was born in Glasgow. He contributed to magazines, including Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine and The People’s Friend. He was runner-up in the 2014 Bloody Scotland crime-writing competition, and his work has been performed on stage in London.
Black debuted with the psychological thriller, The Family. Now he authored six books, some of which became bestsellers. His latest novel, The Hunted (2022), is set in a remote Scottish lodge in the depths of winter.
His fiction has been longlisted for the Bridport Prize and other awards. He was one of the winners of the Daily Telegraph's Ghost Stories competition.
P.R. Black now resides in West Yorkshire.
