Dani Collins is a Canadian contemporary romance author. She writes for Harlequin Presents and Tule Publishing. She is best known for Proof Of Their Sin (2013), which won the Reviewer's Choice Award for Best First in Series from Romantic Times Book Reviews.
Born in southern British Columbia, Dani is the oldest of three sisters. She met her future husband in high school. He is the youngest of three children. They married and have two grown children. They are now empty nesters living in rural British Columbia.
Dani Collins started writing in high school. She swam competitively as a child and competed in the BC Summer Games. Collins began submitting manuscripts to publishers at the age of 20. She wrote and submitted for 25 years before receiving an offer.
In 2002, her book Hustled To The Altar was a finalist in the Golden Heart competition. It was also a finalist in Romantic Times Magazine's American Title competition in 2005. In 2008, she was a finalist in Mills & Boon's Instant Seduction competition. This led to her first sale in 2012. She later said, "I received The Call in September. It was everything I had imagined.
Her debut novel, No Longer Forbidden? was published in the UK in January 2013. It was selected as the Mills & Boon Modern Book of the Month. In the same year, Proof of Their Sin won the Reviewer's Choice Award. In 2014, Dani quit her day job to write full-time. "I did it with much trepidation and my husband's blessing," she said.
Dani has published over sixty titles with major and independent publishers. These include Harlequin Mills & Boon in London, Tule Publishing in California and Champagne Books in Alberta. She also self-publishes from her office in British Columbia.
In 2019, Bound by Their Nine-Month Scandal was a Reader's Choice finalist. Her fiftieth Harlequin title, Wedding Night with the Wrong Billionaire, was published in November 2022. His Secretary's Baby followed in January 2024. Her sixtieth Harlequin, His Highness's Hidden Heir, was published in December 2025.
Dani Collins also writes in the historical and erotic romance genres. Her first historical western, The Prospector's Only Prospect, received a starred review from Publishers Weekly. The review described it as "a delightful twist on the mail-order bride trope."
In 2025, six of her previous Harlequin titles were released on Kindle Unlimited in North America.
