Sean was inspired to become a writer after reading Al Franken's, "Rush Limbaugh is a Big, Fat, Idiot" when he was roughly 18 years-old. It took him decades later to actually write a book. Those decades were filled with video games, drinking, watching lots of TV, movies, and literally doing nothing. Literally! He thought it was great! But he wasn't writing anything. When he was engaged and later had two kids, of course, the writing ideas and motivation came, but then he had no time! Dear Customer: Inside the World of Baristas, Upselling, and the Rules of Serving a Special Cup of Coffee was written on an iPhone in various Caribou Coffees and Barnes and Noble break bathrooms. And in those quiet moments when his kids slept and his wife wasn't making him do chores. Three things to know about Sean:1. His arch-rival is Barbara Ehrenreich (Even if she doesn't know it.)2. His favorite movie is Back to the Future, which explains his bad ass bio picture in the orange vest. 3. He drank an entire gallon of milk in under an hour without puking. This will actually be chronicled in a chapter in his next book, Wal-Mart: I Don't Belong Here. Sean was born and in Minneapolis, MN and lives in a semi-fancy suburbs. Nice, but south of the river.
