Lauren Smith was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After high school, she attended Oklahoma State University where earned a Bachelor of Art degrees in history and political science. After graduating from college, she moved to Michigan to attend law school at the University of Detroit-Mercy and the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. Armed with two Juris Doctorate degrees from both countries, she returned to Tulsa and became an intellectual property attorney.
All that time Lauren Smith had been hooked on writing, which was her true passion. The author says it started when she attempted to re-write the entire Titanic movie just to save Jack from drowning. She debuted in 2012 with the novel "Forbidden", which became a popular series "Love in London". Now she has several dozen published books.
She’s won multiple awards in several romance subgenres including New England Reader’s Choice Awards, Greater Detroit BookSeller’s Best Awards, Semi-Finalist award for the Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley Award, etc.
She belongs to several Writing Organizations such as Romance Writers of America, Oklahoma Outlaws RWA chapter, Passionate Ink RWA Chapter, and others.
