The Revd Melusi Sibanda is an Anglican priest serving in the Diocese of Birmingham where he has been vicar of St Stephen the Martyr since 2006, and prior to this he served in the Colne and Villages Team Ministry in the Diocese of Blackburn. In 2012 the Bishop of Birmingham appointed him Area Dean of the Kings Norton Deanery.
Melusi served his title at St John’s Cathedral in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and then became Rector of St Margaret’s Church, North End, Bulawayo in the Diocese of Matabeleland. He was born and brought up at St James Mission, Nyamandlovu and attended Cyrene Secondary School, Bulawayo before studying political science at the University of Zimbabwe. He trained for the priesthood at the national Anglican theological college in Zimbabwe.
