Matthew Colborn received an MSc. with Distinction in cognitive science from Birmingham University in 1997, and a DPhil. in experimental psychology from the University of Sussex in 2001. The research for his DPhil was published in three papers. Since 2001, Matthew has worked in several areas, and also pursued independent research in areas of controversial science and consciousness studies. Recent publications include an examination of alleged ‘decline effects’ in parapsychology (Colborn, 2007) and an essay revew of Kelly et al., (2007). In 2006, he was the recipient of a small grant from the Society for Psychical Research for a questionnare survey (under revision for publication). He is currently a freelance writer, lecturer and consultant.
