I love words and sentences. I've always been a reader, which led to my love of writing. My father was a screenwriter who showed me how to work hard and never give up. I live in Southern California, near our beautiful deserts that feed my soul and my writing. I've written articles and essays for several publications including the Los Angeles Times , Lost Angeles Times Magazine, and Orange Coast Magazine. My short stories have been performed at The New Short Fiction Series in Los Angeles and the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica, California. My story, "The Winter Season," placed me as a finalist for the Glimmer Train Very Short Fiction Award. My essay, "Taming Miss Jazzy," about how our family adopted a shelter kitten who has been a handful to raise, is part of the anthology Cup of Comfort for Cat Lovers.I am also at work on a screenplay.
