Rebecca Ross is an American author of fantasy novels for young adults.
She has achieved critical acclaim and commercial success as a #1 New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling author. Her books have been translated into thirteen languages.
Rebecca Ross was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She developed an early interest in reading, particularly in fantasy genres. Ross pursued an English degree at the University of Georgia. Before dedicating herself to writing full-time, Ross held various positions, including working at a dude ranch, as a school librarian, and as a live-time captionist for a college.
Ross debuted with the publication of the fantasy novel The Queen’s Rising in 2018. Following the success of her first book, she authored several more, including The Queen’s Resistance (2019), Sisters of Sword & Song (2020), Dreams Lie Beneath (2021), and A River Enchanted (2022), her adult debut.
Ross's latest young adult novel, Divine Rivals (2023), weaves a narrative rich with themes of conflict, class dynamics, and the transformative power of love set against war.
