Joe Posnanski is national columnist for NBC Sports. He has been named National Sportswriter of the Year and twice was awarded the best sports columnist in America by The Associated Press Sports Editors. He has written five books:“The Good Stuff,” was a collection of columns. “The Soul of Baseball: A Road Trip Through Buck O’Neil’s America,” won the Casey Award as best baseball book of 2007. "The Machine," the story of the 1975 Cincinnati Reds, was a New York Times bestseller."Paterno," a biography of Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, went to No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list.And his latest book, "The Secret of Golf: The Story of Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus: goes on sale June 9.Joe grew up in Cleveland, spent much of his life in Kansas Crty, and now lives in Charlotte with with his wife, Margo, their two daughters, Elizabeth and Katie, and their standard (huge) poodle Westley. The family mostly sits around and argues about how to spell Westley's name -- with a T or without -- and so far the T is winning.
