Rachel Lynch is a British crime fiction novelist best known for her DI Kelly Porter series, set in the Lake District, Dark Game, Deep Fear, Dead End, Bitter Edge, Bold Lies, Blood Rites, Little Doubt, Lost Cause, Lying Ways and Sudden Death.
In addition, she has also written a standalone novel titled The Rift (2021), which features Royal Military Policewoman Major Helen Scott, seconded to Interpol in Lyon to investigate an international kidnapping.
Rachel Lynch spent her childhood in the Lake District and pursued a degree in History from the University of Lancaster. After completing her studies, she taught History in London and abroad.
Rachel's life took a turn when she married an army officer and moved to various countries, including Cyprus, where she taught. After having children, Rachel Lynch trained to become a Personal Trainer and Sports Massage therapist.
However, it wasn't until her husband became the Deputy Defence Attaché in Buenos Aires that Lynch finally found the time to pursue her dream of writing a book she had been planning to write for twenty years.
Her debut police procedural series features Detective Inspector Kelly Porter, a gripping detective story that now has ten books. The most recent novel, Sudden Death, came out in 2022.
