Non Pratt is a British author whose debut novel, Trouble (2014), was shortlisted for the YA Book Prize and the Branford Boase Award and long-listed for the Carnegie Medal.
Non Pratt holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. She became a full-time writer after several years of working as an editor in children's publishing.
Her debut Young Adult novel, Trouble, garnered significant critical acclaim and recognition. In addition to Trouble, Non Pratt has authored three more books: Remix, Truth or Dare, and Every Little Piece of My Heart, all of which have been published by Walker Books.
Her writing primarily caters to the Young Adult audience, showcasing her knack for engaging storytelling and character development.
Non Pratt has also ventured into the realm of novellas with two works Unboxed and Second Best Friend, both published by Barrington Stoke.
Additionally, Non Pratt has collaborated with esteemed writers like Eleanor Wood, Lisa Williamson, Melinda Salisbury, Tanya Byrne, Holly Bourne, and Sara Barnard on a collaborative novel called Floored, published by Macmillan Children's Books. This project showcases her versatility and ability to collaborate with fellow writers to create compelling stories.
Furthermore, Non Pratt has penned a novel based on the beloved characters from John Allison's comic series, Giant Days.
Outside of her writing pursuits, Pratt, along with Robin Stevens (author of the bestselling Murder Most Unladylike series), dedicates her time to organizing events to support emerging writers trying to break into children's publishing.
