Daniel Wong is a Singapore-based author, speaker, and educator. He wrote several books on education and personal development, including the bestselling The Happy Student: 5 Steps to Academic Fulfillment and Success (2012).
Daniel Wong was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and he lived in Hong Kong from age two through five. Then he moved to Singapore and later spent two years in the Singapore army, where he served as a battalion manpower officer. Wong was responsible for the operational readiness of his infantry battalion. He currently holds the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
Daniel Wong went to Durham, North Carolina, for college on a full academic scholarship. He graduated cum laude from Duke University with a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Economics.
Daniel is passionate about education and has given numerous talks to students about goal-setting, time management, college life skills, and developing a personal vision for life. He also gave a TEDx talk at Duke University entitled Realistic Idealism: Seeing People as People (2011).
His debut book, How to Become a Happy Student, published by Morgan James Publishing, is set to hit bookstores by early 2012.
Wong's work focuses on helping students, parents, and educators develop the mindset and habits necessary for academic and personal success.
