Heather Graham Pozzessere is a best-selling American author of more than two hundred romance novels and novellas. She also published under her maiden name Heather Graham and the pen name Shannon Drake.
Heather Graham has been honored with awards from booksellers and writers’ organizations for excellence in her work. The novelist was the winner of the Silver Bullet from Thriller Writers, and she was also awarded the prestigious Thriller Master in 2016.
Heather Graham majored in theater arts at the University of South Florida. After a stint of several years in dinner theater, backup vocals, and bartending, she stayed home after the birth of her third child and began to write, working on short horror stories and romances.
"I was working dinner theater and bartending to make up for the fact that dinner theater actors were not making great money! I did love what I was doing. I had been a theater major at USF, but when we had three small children, the time away from home was too much. I had always loved books. My parents were great and I always had tons to read! I liked to write and it seemed the right time to take a chance," tells Heather Graham about the beginning of her career.
After some trial and error, she sold her first book, When Next We Love, in 1982. Since then, she has written over two hundred novels and novellas, including romantic suspense, historical romance, vampire fiction, time travel, occult, and Christmas holiday fare.
Heather has had books selected for the Doubleday Book Club and the Literary Guild. Her books have been published in approximately twenty-five languages, and have been honored with awards from Waldenbooks. B. Dalton, Georgia Romance Writers, Affaire de Coeur, Romantic Times, and more.
The mother of five, Heather Graham currently lives with her husband in Florida.
