In the remote town of Kapaskacing, deep in Northern Ontario, something ancient has awakened. When a series of brutal, inexplicable killings sends shockwaves through the community, the local police are left scrambling for answers. With no signs of human involvement and only the most vicious wounds left behind, whispers of an old legend—the Ma’iingan, a vengeful spirit wolf—resurface among the townsfolk.
Inspector Bradley McDonald, newly promoted and eager to prove himself, is sent to investigate the strange deaths alongside the seasoned and cynical Sergeant Lucas Bouchard.
