As a huge fantasy fiction reader, I found it to be well written. It may not be as complex as Tolkien or Jordan but that doesn't mean it's bad
Gave up in book nr 3 - the story and details just keeps getting more and more incoherent.
Another review compared this to Mc Donald's of books and I concure, if you can't get past crazy details like (spoiler alert) a fight with a dragon in its own footstep?? Princesses taking morning baths alone far away from the city and back before lunch - Lamborghini horse?? Hero getting blamed for murder because he stood idle while killer stabs someone and puts the dagger in hand of the hero during an all out training exercise closely monitored. Apparently the stories best fighters (young normal boys of course) completed their training in a 100 days fighting Cyclops and dragons while mastering all weapons known to man... Could keep going.. actually it is quite funny...
