The Power of Gratitude
Why can't you be more grateful? You have probably heard this comment from a parent, grandparent, or even a child yourself at some point. (Or worse, a couple!) Our need to see gratitude in others is a large part of us seeing that person as a loving and caring person as well.
Having gratitude helps us to enjoy life more. It can break down huge barriers and reduce our stress load, give us more confidence and help us meet our goals, no matter how big they are.
There is now the question that being grateful is a long way off. The hard part is how to be thankful in times of stress or when you suffer from disappointment or sadness.
All you need to do is breathe
We are often caught in a vicious circle of "if only". If only the work would come, then welding would be appreciated, if only the kids would behave better, then we would say thank you, if only I could lose those extra ten kilos, make that guy notice me, find a million dollars under my pillow... if only, if only, if only...
