Eliminate Excuses

Слушать в приложении
In any occupation, there are elements that are not as "fun" as other elements of that occupation. Consequently, many people tend to procrastinate and slow down in an effort to "avoid" those boring or tedious elements that they do not enjoy as much as the fun aspects of their job or occupation.

In reality, these efforts to procrastinate, make excuses, and simply avoid certain aspects of an occupation or task only lead to people taking more time to complete work that they could do much faster, leading them to do less than they could in a set amount of time. In addition, it forces them to work harder, takes more time away from other activities they would rather be doing, and can lead them to do poorer quality work because they have to work faster to make up for the time they have wasted procrastinating and making excuses. Because they work faster, they are more prone to making mistakes and not thinking clearly when performing important tasks.

Procrastination is one of the excuses people make when they want to avoid a more unpleasant part of their occupation or a project or task they don't particularly like to do. However, procrastination is not the only challenge people face when trying to complete high-quality work in a given period of time.

People often wonder if they can work fast and still deliver high quality work. They often doubt whether they are doing something correctly or whether it is what their target market, their boss or their client is looking for in the finished work. As a result, they slow down and take longer to complete work when they normally don't have to.
