Captain Osyen and his merry band of cutthroats and conmen were scratching out a living on the edge of Imperial controlled space. They were a ship full of degenerates, petty criminals, if not outright scum—so a full-blown Imperial Dreadnaught arriving to detain their ship seems like an overreaction.
In exchange for not going back to prison, the Imperial Admiral works out a deal. So they hire out to some dangerous folk with blood-stained triggers, and they're willing to pay—in both pardons and coin.
But between Osyen and his freedom is only the most lawless space in the entire galaxy, home of an old friend who may not be so happy to see him. To make matters worse, there's a rogue Imperial officer who seems dead set on ensuring they fail.
