After adopting a bedraggled Border collie from the local animal shelter, a tenure-track professor of comparative literature discovers the canine’s secret-cursed to live life alternating between human and animal form. As their relationship develops, the professor finds herself drawn into an emotional and sexual relationship unlike any she’s ever previously experienced.
